Michael's "trip"

This is called Michael's trip because he fell down 5 stairs and fell into some buckets and got a bloody nose and banged up face- but he recovered-

These stairs are in the kitchen that go up into the 2 bedrooms on the main floor or the garage-

This is the outside of the cabin- notice the icicles that touch the deck
This is the old cabin, that doesn't look so old anymore

This is the old front door area- Remember the old Brown door with the screen door that slammed shut-
This is the dorm room upstairs that is now two bedrooms ( I am standing in one room) and then in the middle is the library with the new banister in front of me to go downstairs, and then you can barely see to the right the second room that has such fun little corners and walls, and a fun closet
Tyler is standing in the area that joins the old and the new cabin- so Mom says this will be a play room with carpet for kids to climb on- it has the big stair that because that is the old roof line
This is my favorite room- The upstairs master bedroom- The I am standing by the window that over looks the sauna and the next two shots are from roughly the same place- So this is the closets but I really took this so you can see the beautiful beams throughout the cabin - wow!
Then I rotate 45 degrees and you see the walls and doorway of the bathroom- but the cool thing is that maybe one day (after inspection) mom said they would put up  a railing and put beds up there for little kids and then a ladder on the left wall of this picture and have a COOL room- NICE HUH!
Cabinets are going to be installed soon in the kitchen and things are looking good for May still?!?!?

Muddy mess

Things are moving along great- I guess things are a bit behind according to the parents but wow- it looks great - Here are some updates

This is the down under - which is now basically empty (thanks to Kamas Storage units) - now they can put in heating and new windows- also notice the half cut door way under all the windows- so there will actually be a door to access all the under the cabin stuff instead of the deer accessing all the under the cabin stuff

The outside- notice the beautiful cranberry red new windows- no more bullet hole in the upstairs window!

A couple first and lasts today- Tyler riding his bike in the cabin and Toby being allowed in the cabin!
Tyler got to throw rocks in the river - notice the cabin in the background
This is outside of the cabin- the bathroom window- now it is covered by the stairs going up and the stairs going down
Tyler loved the lifter- He drove it for about 20 minutes- I had to stand on the front part so he could pretend to lift me and move me around.
Ella stayed wrapped up warm all day- she was great

This picture about sums it up about what the cabin was like today- snow melting, lots of mud- fun for kids, shoes, and trucks

Why we love the cabin...

Here are some beautiful scenes in nature that Mom and Dad taught us to enjoy --and the place to enjoy them together.

Cabin Progress July 31 2008

Mom and Dad were so kind to take Rob and I for a drive up to the cabin. It was so great to see the progress being made. It is exciting to see what a great mountain home Heartland will be.
